In Shizuoka Prefecture's Izu City, the Shuzenji Hot Spring area features a 400-meter walking path called the Bamboo Path, stretching from Tokko-no-Yu, a hot spring in the middle of the Katsura River, to the Takishita Bridge upstream. Around 60 maple trees, mainly Japanese maples, are planted along this path, where visitors can enjoy the autumn colors against the backdrop of tranquil hot springs and iconic red bridges, Katsura Bridge and Kaede Bridge. In addition, about 10 maple trees are planted within the grounds of Shuzenji Temple in the heart of the area. When their leaves turn, visitors can experience the uniquely serene autumn scenery characteristic of a historic temple setting.
