Autumn Leaves at Shimonogi Fudo Waterfall
November 20 – December 10, 2026
Shimonogi Fudo Waterfall is renowned as a prime spot for autumn foliage. After leaving Prefectural Route 81 (Kiyosumi Yoro Line) and taking a forest road deep through bamboo and cedar groves, you’ll discover this hidden gem. In late autumn, the lush greens transform into brilliant reds and yellows, creating a magical atmosphere alongside the clear waterfall. It’s the perfect place to escape everyday life and immerse yourself in nature’s beauty. Nearby, Shiraishi, located near the border between Kamogawa and Kimitsu cities, is another popular spot for autumn colors, where vivid maples and oaks stand out against sheer white cliffs. The view from Shiraishi Bridge is beautiful, and the scenery as you descend toward the riverbank is not to be missed. Since Shiraishi is close to Fudo Waterfall, you can easily visit both in one trip.
