Autumn Foliage at Yoyogi Park
November 11 – December 20, 2026
Free entry
With around 900 zelkova, 200 ginkgo, and 200 maple trees among some 1,300 deciduous trees, Yoyogi Park is one of Tokyo’s best spots for autumn leaves, which change color in sequence throughout the season. Covering about 540,000 square meters, the spacious park offers plenty of lawns and benches for relaxing and enjoying the view. The ginkgo tree avenue near the Harajuku Gate is usually at its peak from late November to early December, providing a striking contrast with the vivid red maple trees by the west side of the fountain pond. Visitors can stroll through carpets of fallen leaves and experience the deepening of autumn.
