Autumn Foliage at Tonogayato Garden
Tonogayato Garden is a strolling-style landscape garden that makes excellent use of a valley formed by the Kokubunji cliff line. The garden’s design features a dramatic shift in atmosphere, from the bright lawn on the cliff top, through bamboo groves, down to a natural spring pond and wooded areas below. Around 200 Japanese maple trees display brilliant autumn colors from mid-November to early December. The view of the autumn leaves and pond from the Momijitei teahouse is especially stunning. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of Musashino in this picturesque garden.
