The Autumn Grand Festival, one of the most important ceremonies at Yasukuni Shrine, takes place over three days from October 17 to 19. On the main festival day, October 18, an imperial envoy attends on behalf of the Emperor. During the festival, the Noh theater hosts celebratory performances such as Japanese dance, traditional martial arts, and brass band music. Special flower and chrysanthemum exhibitions are also held on the shrine grounds.
