The East Gardens of the Imperial Palace occupy the site of the former main, secondary, and third enclosures of Edo Castle and are open to the public. Inspired by Emperor Showa's vision, the Ninomaru Grove has been landscaped to resemble the Musashino woodlands, featuring trees such as konara oaks, sawtooth oaks, and Japanese maples. Every year in mid-November, the leaves turn vibrant shades of red and yellow, creating a beautiful display of autumn colors.
