Autumn Foliage at Kanazawa Zoo and Kanazawa Nature Park in Yokohama
From mid-November to mid-December, a variety of trees such as Japanese maple, ginkgo, and dawn redwood reach their peak foliage in Kanazawa Nature Park (Kanazawa Zoo). Especially notable are the Chinese tallow trees with heart-shaped leaves that turn vibrant red near the African animal area, delighting visitors each year. Other highlights include ginkgo-lined paths in front of the Sika deer area and large Japanese maples near the kangaroo enclosure. The park offers the unique experience of enjoying both colorful autumn leaves and visits to the zoo's animals.
