Autumn Foliage at Hakone Museum of Art
The Hakone Museum of Art in Gora, Hakone, Kanagawa, which first opened in 1952, is reopening after renovations. The museum, which harmoniously blends art, architecture, and gardens, is being transformed into a new space for visitors. At the pre-opening on October 30, 2026, the exteriors of the main building, annex, and rest area will be restored to their original opening-day colors, and a new café and exhibition space in the annex will debut. The grand opening is scheduled for December 23, when the main exhibition rooms will also be revealed, allowing visitors to enjoy art in a setting where the artwork and architecture complement each other.
