In 1986, Juhyuk, a newspaper journalist, and Jeongbae, a monthly magazine editor-in-chief, expose press censorship directives issued by South Korea's military government. As a result, they are put on trial for allegedly violating the National Security Law. The prosecutor, Donggyul, and the defense attorney, Seungwook, who bring the total to four, were all members of the same university theater club and once united in their belief that 'theater is the spiritual hope of the era.' Now, faced with a harsh reality, they find themselves in fierce opposition in court. This courtroom drama, based on true events, brings their story to the stage.
