Counted among the three major Tori-no-Ichi fairs in the Kanto region, this annual festival is a beloved autumn tradition in Fuchu. In 2026, the first Tori-no-Ichi will be held on Saturday, November 7, and the second on Thursday, November 19. Visitors come to pray for good fortune and prosperous business. The shrine grounds feature stalls selling lucky bamboo rakes decorated with charms such as Okame masks, beckoning cats, and money boxes. Visitors can also enjoy traditional performing arts like Edo-style folk Kagura music presented at the shrine’s stage, preserving centuries-old customs up close.
