Public Workshop: 'Experiencing Saneatsu Through Recitation'
October 3, 2026
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor who has led a reading class for many years, participants will delve into the meaning behind each word chosen by Saneatsu, interpreting and experiencing the richness of his language. The workshop will be led by Sayoharu Kawasaki, a recitation artist and actor. Readings will include selections from Saneatsu's autobiographical novel 'A Certain Man', as well as essays and famous quotes. The workshop is limited to 10 participants, with an additional 20 spots open for audience members. Advance registration is required (by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, via web form or phone). If there are more applicants than spots, participants will be chosen by lottery. If there are remaining spaces, phone applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
