This exhibition traces the creative journey of Lisa Larson, the renowned Swedish ceramic artist and designer who passed away at the age of 92 in March 2024. Through the three perspectives of 'Artist,' 'Designer,' and 'Sources of Inspiration,' the show explores Larson's diverse body of work—from her pieces created at Sweden's largest ceramics manufacturer, Gustavsberg Factory, to her independent creations after 1980, as well as her collaborations with domestic and international companies and artisans. Approximately 250 works are on display, including her iconic animal and human figures such as lions, unique one-of-a-kind pieces, and many rare works never before shown in Japan. Visitors can experience the multifaceted world of Lisa Larson as a ceramic artist, creator, and product designer.
