In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Chuo Ward and Minato Ward, the Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival is returning after about 11 years. The fireworks will be launched off the coast of Harumi Pier in Tokyo Port, lighting up the autumn night sky with approximately 12,000 bursts. First held in 1988, it has been a beloved event alongside the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, but it was discontinued after 2015 due to preparations for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. This year's event will be ticketed only, with no standing viewing on sidewalks. Tickets range from 5,000 to 10,000 yen, and 21 viewing areas including Harumi Pier Park and Odaiba Seaside Park will be available. Priority seating for residents of Chuo, Minato, and parts of Koto Ward is available at a discounted rate of 5,000 yen when booking within their respective wards.
