⌖ Open in Maps ↗A summer exhibition for children and families celebrating the imaginative world of picture book creator Koji Ishikawa.
From the playful die-cut pages of Colorful Animals Hide and Seek, where colorful animals appear with the turn of a page, to Masks, in which smiling animals peek out from behind the masks of mythical creatures and Egg Picture Book, which captures the wonder of new life hatching from an egg, Ishikawa's books delight readers of all ages.
Their enduring appeal lies in their vibrant colors, bold shapes and ingenious interactive designs. Through original illustrations and immersive exhibition displays, this exhibition brings the playful spirit of Ishikawa's picture books to life. Marking both the 20th anniversary of Kotobaland and the 20th anniversary of Ishikawa's debut as a picture book author, the exhibition invites visitors to step into a world where picture books become spaces to explore, discover and play.
