■ Mt. Awa Takayama Hiking: January 13 (Wed), 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM. This hike heads to Mt. Awa Takayama and Atago Shrine. Distance: about 10 km. For experienced hikers. Meeting point: Seiwa Prefectural Forest, Forest Heritage Hall. Fee: 700 yen. Capacity: 30 participants. Registration deadline: January 9 (Sat). To register, please call Seiwa Prefectural Forest. ■ Build a Birdhouse: January 31 (Sun), 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Open to everyone; materials are provided, so you can just show up. Take your completed birdhouse home or install it in the park. Enjoy crafting in nature, whether with family, friends, or on your own, while considering the lives of birds. Let’s make birdhouses together and spend a gentle moment for the future of the forest. Fee: 1,000 yen per group. Capacity: 5 groups. Please bring work gloves and wear comfortable clothes.
