After a paragliding accident leaves wealthy aristocrat Philippe paralyzed from the neck down and dependent on a wheelchair, he interviews candidates for a caregiver. Driss, a young man of African descent, applies mainly to obtain proof for unemployment benefits. However, Philippe is drawn to him and hires him as his new caregiver. As Driss undergoes training, his laid-back attitude clashes with Philippe’s demanding personality. Yet, as Driss’s wit and depth emerge, an unlikely friendship begins to form between the two men.
