Human Rights Festa Tokyo is a free human-rights awareness event run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote an inclusive, diverse city. The Tokyo International Forum days feature music and sign-language performances by HANDSIGN, rokyoku narrative singing by Nanafuku, talks by goalball Paralympian Rieko Takahashi and comedian Miyuki Torii, and appearances by FC Tokyo mascot Tokyo Dorompa. Visitors can also try wheelchair basketball, braille and an 'air cafe' run by deaf staff, where all communication happens without spoken words.
