Ajiki Tori-no-Ichi Fair at Owashi Shrine
November 28 – December 1, 2026
Held every December as the annual grand festival of Owashi Shrine, the Ajiki Tori-no-Ichi is known as the latest Tori-no-Ichi fair in the Kanto region. Many visitors come from within and outside the town to buy decorative rakes, said to bring good fortune, making it a lively local tradition. This year, on Saturday, November 28, there will also be a market around the shrine selling processed products made from Kuromame black soybeans, a local specialty of Sakae Town. Owashi Shrine, affectionately called 'O-Washi-sama,' is believed to be associated with Kasuga-no-Tsubone and is known as a guardian deity of success and good luck. This year’s festival runs from Saturday, November 28 to Tuesday, December 1. Please join the festivities at Owashi Shrine.
