Autumn Foliage Around Urayama Dam
Located on the Urayama River in the Arakawa River system, Urayama Dam is the second tallest gravity concrete dam in Japan. The dam's reservoir, Chichibu Sakura Lake, is also a popular fishing spot. In autumn, visitors can enjoy views of vibrant red and yellow leaves created by the rich natural surroundings of Chichibu and Nagatoro, visible from the dam. Visitors can also tour the interior of the dam free of charge. The best time to see the autumn colors is typically from early to mid-November.
