Autumn Leaves at Owakudani
Located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Owakudani is the site of a volcanic crater formed around 3,000 years ago by the last eruption of Mount Hakone. The area still emits white volcanic steam, creating a dramatic atmosphere where you can enjoy the striking contrast between the steam and the vibrant autumn foliage. Due to current volcanic activity, some surrounding hiking trails are closed, but visitors can still take in the breathtaking views from accessible areas.
