The popular 'Day Out with Thomas 2026' event, featuring the Thomas the Tank Engine steam locomotive running on the Oigawa Railway, returns with an expanded schedule—operating year-round for the first time since its launch in 2014. Visitors can enjoy a scenic railway journey with Thomas and friends throughout the seasons, from cherry blossoms in spring to winter landscapes. This year also marks the first-ever appearance in Asia of Percy, the green tank engine and Thomas's close friend, with rides beginning March 7. Later, Thomas and Toby engines will also run. At Shin-Kanaya Station, the updated Thomas Fair starts in April, offering new family-friendly activities such as a stamp rally, live demonstrations of the locomotive turntable, and large photo panels, all designed to help create memorable experiences.
