The Creature Investigation Program is an activity to study local wildlife in order to help preserve the natural environment around Eco Village. Join us at Oshidori Pond, a rare forest pond, to discover what creatures live there. The November focus is on dragonflies: as larvae (nymphs) they live underwater, and as adults they inhabit grassy areas and watersides, making them important indicators of the environment both in and out of the water. Try catching and observing dragonflies—can you spot differences from spring? Open to elementary school students and older; day participation is available.
