The 69th Matsudo Nanakusa Marathon is a long-running community road race, held since 1956, starting and finishing at the Matsudo Sports Park stadium and running through surrounding streets. Races include 10 km and 5 km divisions for high school and general runners, a 5 km junior high race, and 2 km races for elementary school pupils plus a parent-and-child family race. Age-group awards for runners in their 40s and up now cover the 5 km as well as the 10 km.
