Mr. Yoshisaku Okazaki, who lived in Asakusa, Tokyo, experienced the Tokyo air raids in the early hours of March 10, 1945, just before graduating elementary school. He narrowly escaped death amidst the falling incendiary bombs, witnessing panicked crowds and many burned bodies in the city engulfed by flames. He also lost many friends who had returned to Tokyo after being evacuated. In a world where conflicts and tensions persist, this event offers an opportunity to listen to his harrowing experiences and reflect on the horrors of war, the value of life, and the importance of peace.
