Autumn Leaves at Daiyuzan Saijoji Temple
Daiyuzan Saijoji Temple belongs to the Soto school of Buddhism and boasts over 4,000 branch temples nationwide. With more than 600 years of history and legends of mythical long-nosed goblins, it is a place rich in tradition. As the early winter air grows crisp, the temple's vibrant autumn foliage reaches its peak. From the Founder's Hall to the bell tower and the boundary gate, the stone-paved approach offers some of the best views of the colorful leaves. In front of the Lapis Lazuli Gate, a towering maple tree stands out, its sunlit leaves in perfect harmony with the surrounding cedar forest.
