Autumn Foliage on Surugadai Boulevard
Nagatsuka Town in Shizuoka Prefecture is known for its Yotsumizo persimmons and clematis seedlings, but Surugadai Boulevard, which runs north to south through the town, is also famous as an autumn foliage spot. The highlight is a 2.5-kilometer stretch of golden ginkgo trees lining both sides of the road, and on clear days you can see Mount Fuji above the rows of trees. The leaves are usually at their peak from mid to late November each year.
