Autumn Foliage at the Famous Saruhashi Bridge
November 11–20, 2026
Free entry
Recognized in Hiroshige Utagawa’s ukiyo-e print 'View of Saruhashi in Koshu,' this bridge is one of Japan’s three most unique bridges, alongside the Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni and the Kiso no Kakebashi. Supported by four layers of cantilevered beams extending from both banks instead of piers, Saruhashi is especially stunning during autumn. From November, the surrounding maples, zelkovas, and ginkgo trees reach their peak, transforming the landscape into a breathtaking tapestry of vibrant autumn colors.
