Autumn Foliage at Otonashi Shinsui Park
Selected as one of Japan's Top 100 City Parks, Otonashi Shinsui Park was developed along the former course of the Shakujii River, which flows from eastern Kodaira City to the Sumida River. In the Kita area, the river is known as the Otonashi River, and the park has long been cherished as a scenic spot for enjoying cherry blossoms in spring, fresh green maples and waterfall splashing in summer, and autumn foliage in the fall. From mid-November to mid-December each year, the park's maple and zelkova trees turn vivid shades of red and yellow, offering beautiful autumn scenery.
