Autumn Foliage at Lake Ikawa
October 21 – November 30, 2026
Free entry
Created in 1957 with the construction of the Ikawa Goro Dam, Lake Ikawa spans about 10 kilometers in circumference. From late October to late November, trees such as oaks, sawtooth oaks, and maples turn vibrant shades, offering beautiful autumn scenery. The reflection of the colorful leaves on the lake and the panoramic view of the Southern Alps are particularly impressive. Highlights include the famous Yume-no-Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge and Ikawa Bridge, as well as views from the Ikawa Lake Ferry. The area also features paths utilizing former railway lines, offering multiple spots to enjoy the autumn colors.
