Autumn Foliage at Konaka Waterfall
October 21 – November 10, 2026
Free entry
Boasting a maximum drop of 96 meters, this is one of the largest waterfalls in Gunma Prefecture. The only way to view the falls is by crossing the Kesakake Bridge, a steep staircase-style suspension bridge with a maximum incline of 44 degrees. The area is especially stunning during the autumn foliage season, when the whole valley is awash in color—perfect for those who are feeling adventurous. The best time to see the leaves is typically from late October to early November.
