Autumn Foliage at Hibiya Park
November 21 – December 10, 2026
Free entry
Once the site of a feudal lord's residence until the end of the Edo period, this area became a military training ground during the Meiji era before being transformed into Japan’s first modern Western-style city park. Flower beds bloom with vibrant flowers throughout the year, making the park a relaxing spot for people working in the surrounding business district. The S-shaped path lined with gingko trees, part of the original 1903 design, offers stunning yellow foliage. Kumogata Pond, featuring Japan's third oldest fountain shaped like a crane, is also a highlight. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and spectacular displays of gingko and maple leaves turning vibrant colors from autumn to winter.
