Autumn Foliage at Futamata Castle Ruins and Shiroyama Park
Futamata Castle, famously recaptured by Tokugawa Ieyasu after a conflict with Takeda Shingen, later served as a military stronghold under the Horio clan, retainers of the Toyotomi family. Shiroyama Park was developed around the castle ruins, preserving features like the main enclosure, secondary enclosure, and the castle keep platform. While renowned as a cherry blossom spot in spring, the park is also highly regarded for its beautiful autumn foliage.
