Autumn Foliage at Funabashi Andersen Park
November 11 – December 10, 2026
¥900
Located in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, this expansive park opened in 1987 and was renamed to its current title in 1996. Covering about 380,000 square meters, it features five distinct zones, including one of Japan’s largest adventure playgrounds for adults, windmills and buildings inspired by pastoral Denmark, and an art museum where children can participate in creative activities. The park is renowned for its seasonal flowers and lush landscapes. In autumn, the grounds are adorned with approximately 100,000 plants from 150 varieties, such as salvia, marigold, and mandevilla. From mid-November, visitors can also enjoy towering emperor dahlias over three meters tall, along with beautiful foliage from maple, sawtooth oak, konara oak, and bald cypress trees. The best time to view the autumn colors is typically from mid-November to early December.
