From October 17, 2026 to January 31, 2027, the Yokohama Doll Museum will hold a special exhibition celebrating the 60th anniversary of Obitsu Factory. Established in 1966, Obitsu Factory has supported the doll industry for six decades by meeting the needs of both business clients and individual customers. Obitsu is known for products like the OBQP (Obitsu Kewpie) and the highly customizable Obitsu Body, essential to the doll hobby. While some manufacturers have moved production overseas, Obitsu remains dedicated to producing in Japan, continuing their original and OEM creations in Katsushika, their founding location.
The exhibition will showcase the company’s history and a wide range of its products, including OBQP, Obitsu Body, and various collaborations, highlighting their craftsmanship and innovation. Related events are planned during the exhibition period; check the official website for details.
