93rd Nembutsu Chanting and Dharma Talk Gathering

Baisouin Temple holds the 'Nembutsu Chanting and Dharma Talk Gathering' three times a year. In this modern temple designed by Kengo Kuma, participants chant nembutsu while striking wooden drums, followed by a Dharma talk from a Buddhist priest. This session's theme is 'Joy Within Joy.' The speaker is Reverend Taisei Wakaomi, chief priest of Tokugyobo at Zenkoji Temple in Nagano Prefecture. First-time and general participants are welcome, with advance registration required. Please bring a rakuesa (Buddhist stole) and prayer beads (both are available to borrow).
