Held every autumn, the Hachioji Citizens’ Cultural Festival features a wide variety of creative events organized by local groups. Highlights include exhibitions of art, flower arrangements, calligraphy, bonsai, omoto (lucky plants), photography, and swords, as well as traditional tea ceremonies, sencha tea gatherings, incense appreciation events, and performances of classical music, brass bands, koto, shakuhachi, Taisho koto, and chorus music.
