62nd Japan Gagaku Society Evening Performance
October 26, 2026
Experience traditional Japanese court music, Gagaku, featuring both instrumental and dance performances. Enjoy the distinctive sounds of instruments such as the sho, hichiriki, and ryuteki, along with elegant dances in ornate costumes. This event will include a gagaku instrumental piece in the Ichikotsucho mode, performed for the first time in twelve years, and the society's debut performance of the dance 'Kishunraku.' Recommended for those new to gagaku as well.
