The 2026 Atsugi 'Sweetfish & Grilled Meats' Festival will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026. This food event offers guests the chance to enjoy a set featuring sweetfish, marinated pork, and grilled pork offal. Guests grill the dishes themselves at their table using provided barbecue grills. Advance registration with a designated time slot is required to participate. Food trucks and vendor stalls inside the venue are also open to the general public. Date & Time: Saturday, November 14, 2026, with three time slots: 9:00–11:00, 11:30–13:30, and 14:00–16:00. How to Register: Preferably through the event website, or by phone (East Tanzawa Nanasawa Tourist Information Center, 9:00–15:00, closed Mondays). Registration is open from October 6 to November 8, 2026. Event Guidelines: - Grill sweetfish, grilled pork offal, and marinated pork yourself at your table’s barbecue grill. - Bring your own reusable chopsticks (not disposable), and receive a 200-yen voucher valid in the venue on November 14 (one per paid participant). - Each session lasts two hours; please begin cleanup 15 minutes before the end of your session and dispose of trash in designated bins. - Reception begins about 10 minutes before your time slot. - BBQ areas are not covered, so dress appropriately for the weather. - Parking is available for free on the Sagami River riverbed, but spaces are limited. Please use public transport if possible. Paid coin-operated parking is available nearby. - Please keep strollers within designated areas. - Pets are generally discouraged due to the use of fire (guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service dogs excepted). If bringing a pet is unavoidable, keep them in a carrier or pet cart, and be mindful of other guests. The organizers are not responsible for accidents or trouble involving pets. - You may bring your own food or items to grill, but food trucks and stalls will also be present. - The event may be changed or canceled in case of severe weather. Updates will be posted on the event website by 1:00 PM on Friday, November 13.
