Takutaku Yamamoto x Wataru Kitao: 'Unknown Dancer from the Next Town'

"Tonari Machi no Shiranai Odoriko" (The Unknown Dancer of the Next Town) is a dance-theater collaboration by director/choreographer Takutaku Yamamoto (Hanchu-Yuei) and dancer/choreographer Wataru Kitao (Baobab), in which two performers dance and portray 25 different characters, from people of all ages to trains and dogs, exploring themes of indifference and unconscious violence between people. It runs for about 90 minutes at KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theater's Large Studio in Yokohama, with performances November 27 (Fri, 19:00, post-show talk), November 28 (Sat, 14:00 and 18:30, matinee with childcare service), and November 29 (Sun, 14:00, with childcare). General admission tickets are ¥4,500 (¥3,500 for under-29), with a discounted ¥1,000 ticket for high-school-age and younger; same-day tickets run higher at ¥5,000/¥4,000. The same production also plays Sapporo on December 4-5, 2026.
