This fireworks festival takes place in Daigo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture. After being postponed since 2020 due to Typhoon Hagibis restoration work and the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will return for the first time in seven years. It is being held to celebrate the completion of river improvements near the city center, the construction of the Matsunuma Bridge over the Kuji River, and the opening of the Okukuji Daigo WEST Roadside Station in October. Traditionally held during the Obon period in August, the festival will now take place during the autumn leisure season.
