Located about 50 minutes by car from central Tokyo, the adventure resort Sagami Lake MORIMORI is hosting the “Sagami Lake Illumillion” illumination event from Saturday, November 14, 2026. With approximately 6 million lights, it is one of the largest illumination displays in the Kanto region and is recognized as one of the top three in Kanto. Now in its 18th year, the event makes use of the area's rich natural landscapes and varied terrain to create impressive open-air displays. A key highlight is the “Sound Illumination Show,” where music and lights are synchronized. This year, songs and music videos from five artists—including AI, Yui Sakurai, Back Number, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, and MON7A—are featured in a vibrant seven-minute show integrating light and sound, with illuminated objects, mountainsides, and the Ferris wheel all involved in the dynamic performance. Interactive attractions include an elevated sky bike ride at 370 meters above sea level ('Blue Sky Pedal'), a 250-meter-long 'Rainbow Lift,' and the 'Magical Wave' slide with music. There are also special areas created in collaboration with the artist “Kawaiso ni!,” live performances using light, and nighttime bubble shows. Enjoy a magical winter night surrounded by light and music. Schedule: November 14, 2026 (Sat) – May 9, 2027 (Sun). Open daily until January 3, 2027. Closed Wednesdays and Thursdays afterward (except open March 10 and daily between March 12 and April 4; weekends and holidays only after April 5). Hours: 16:00–21:00 (last admission 30 minutes before closing; may vary by season). Visitors already in the park during the day can enjoy the illumination at no extra charge.
