Marie Antoinette Style Exhibition at Yokohama Museum of Art

From August 2026, the Yokohama Museum of Art presents the "Marie Antoinette Style" exhibition. Focusing on Marie Antoinette (1755–1793), one of history's most fashionable queens and a prominent ‘fashion icon’ of her era, the exhibition explores how her clothing, jewelry, and interior design choices have influenced fashion, design, and film from the 18th century to today. Through displays of period dresses, jewelry, and furniture, the exhibition delves into the queen’s innovative spirit and evolving personal style. It also examines how her distinctive style continues to inspire and captivate creators even now. Exhibition dates: August 1 (Sat) – November 23 (Mon, public holiday), 2026. Closed on Thursdays (except August 13, September 24, and November 19). Opening hours: 10:00–18:00 (until 20:00 on November 21 and 22; last entry 30 minutes before closing).
