Kumiko Koyama Solo Exhibition: 'Household Matters'

Kumiko Koyama creates mysterious worlds where armored warriors and anthropomorphized animals appear in contemporary landscapes, blending past and present, imagination and reality through detailed depictions. She weaves together her favorite motifs—such as dogs and events from Japanese history—across time periods and spaces. In recent works, she portrays subtly off-kilter, uncanny scenes with animals appearing in otherwise realistic settings. This exhibition features approximately ten works of various sizes.
