Located at the foot of the Southern Alps and home to over 120 bird species, Hayakawa Town offers a rich natural setting for winter birdwatching. This tour focuses on searching for rare raptors like the endangered mountain hawk-eagle, as well as colorful winter visitors such as long-tailed rosefinches, red-flanked bluetails, and goldcrests. Participants will visit various locations around Hayakawa Town, chosen to best observe the unique behaviors of winter birds. The tour includes expert commentary, and binoculars and field guides are available to borrow. Beginners are welcome—this is a great opportunity to discover new perspectives in birdwatching!
