Nine years ago, a direct message arrived from a woman living in Melbourne, Australia. She was searching for a woman named Kimiko—whose name differs by just one character from the photographer’s grandmother. This message marked the beginning of a mysterious journey that only deepened with each step. In her new series 'Forget Me Not,' photographer Aya Fujioka explores postwar history connecting Kure and Melbourne and the lives of women who lived through it, seen through her own perspective. The exhibition features her first foray into video art, along with 'Parting Regrets,' which traces her grandmother’s footsteps in São Paulo.
