Autumn Leaves at Myojin Gorge
Myojin Gorge refers to a roughly 5-kilometer valley that runs along the upper reaches of the Keta River, starting from Katsuzaka in Haruno Town, Shizuoka Prefecture. As you move upstream, the valley sides become increasingly steep, with dramatic cliffs rising overhead. The area is dotted with craggy rocks and massive boulders shaped by rushing water, offering beautiful scenery in every season. In autumn, the valley bursts with vibrant colors as maples, zelkovas, and beeches turn vivid shades, making it a popular spot for admiring the autumn foliage. The contrast between the powerful rock faces, clear river, and brilliant leaves is truly stunning.
