Autumn Leaves at Shuzenji Nature Park Maple Forest
Located in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Shuzenji Nature Park features a maple forest spanning 10,000 square meters with around 1,000 maple trees. The trees were planted in 1924 to commemorate the establishment of the local municipality and the area is affectionately known as the 'Maple Forest'. Notable species include Japanese maple, Trident maple, and Bigleaf maple. Visitors can enjoy a close-up view of the autumn foliage while strolling the walking paths. During the peak season from mid-November to early December, the leaves display beautiful shades from red to yellow, creating a vivid canopy overhead.
