Autumn Foliage at Oguni Shrine, Prayer Site of Lord Ieyasu
Oguni Shrine, known for prayers for marriage, protection from misfortune, and traffic safety, draws many visitors from within and outside Shizuoka Prefecture. Along the Miyagawa River, which flows through the shrine grounds known as the 'Sacred Healing Garden,' about 1,000 maple trees line scenic walking paths. The striking contrast between the ancient cedar and cypress trees and the vibrant autumn leaves creates a breathtaking atmosphere. The riverside path is flat and accessible, making it easy for both children and seniors to enjoy a leisurely stroll. At the nearby 'Kotomachi Yokocho' shopping street, the limited-edition 'En Baum' sweet—created in collaboration with the famous Yataro Group and Jiichiro—is especially popular.
