Tokuze-ji Temple, founded in 814 by the revered monk Kobo Daishi, is a tranquil wooden temple nestled in a quiet forest. The historic structure offers a sense of deep tradition. For visitors unable to complete the Shikoku Pilgrimage, the temple features principal images from all 88 sacred sites donated by those who made the journey, allowing anyone to participate in the spiritual experience and honor their ancestors. Tokuze-ji is also known as a beautiful spot for viewing autumn leaves.
