Autumn Leaves at Shimizu Park
November 20 – December 10, 2026
Shimizu Park is well known for its athletic courses, barbecue areas, and pony farm, but it's also a great spot to enjoy autumn foliage. The park features about 800 maple trees, with the especially popular 'Maple Valley' forming a striking crimson tunnel at the height of the season. Take a relaxing walk and enjoy the soft autumn sunlight among the maples. The path from Niomon Gate to the main hall of Kinjoin Temple is a recommended route for leaf-viewing, offering beautiful scenes with various deciduous trees like ginkgo and zelkova displaying red and yellow hues. The best time to visit is usually from mid-November to early December, but please check before your visit for current conditions.
